This program begins with a 360 evaluation of your leadership, by peers, subordinates, and superiors. (This is an evaluation that needs to be completed approximately 10 days BEFORE the start of the program.) It will give you new insights about how others see you as a leader, in comparison to how you see yourself.
Foundations of Business Leadership includes a half-day simulation experience called THE LEADERSHIP MATRIX where participants are randomly assigned roles as top executives, middle managers, workers or customers in a hypothetical organization. The goal of the simulation is to explore how leadership and operating challenges differ across all levels of the organization. Each participant will gain new insights on key leadership behaviors at each level, and how we can master the middle leadership skills. It is by developing partnership relationships and managing the overall system dynamics that better outcomes become possible. Arguably, effective leadership in the middle is the key to deploying strategy into successful execution.
Armed with these insights, and our in-class conversations, you will be asked to begin building your own personal action plans for transforming those aspects of your personal leadership that you feel can help unlock future potential.
