CINCINNATI, April 25–Xavier Leadership Center (XLC) will expand its project management reach globally, partnering with Casmena, an executive education firm headquartered in Bogota, Colombia. Casmena provides executive education to international corporations in a variety of industries, including automotive, information technology, banking, education, public sector, oil and gas, production and automation. For the first time, Xavier Leadership Center will certify an industry-driven and internationally recognized project management certificate series in Spanish outside the United States. Casmena, in partnership with XLC, will initially offer two project management programs, Introduction to Project Management and Project Controlling and Earned Value, beginning in April 2014.
XLC will oversee the quality and consistency of the program and will ensure participants meet the requirements and expectations to achieve the certificate. Recently recognized as a Registered Education Provider (REP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the programs will be delivered throughout Colombia and managed by Casmena.
Fabian Schwartz, managing director of Casmena, already has representatives from several companies enrolled in these programs. He adds, “As a company with German roots, we always wanted to internationalize the project management programs offered in Colombia. Forming a relationship with a well-known university from the United States like Xavier University, who is regarded for its high quality and superior education, is a logical step toward our goal. Since Xavier is already an approved education provider of PMI®, it helps us to deliver our seminars in accordance to high quality standards. Additionally, this partnership helps us demonstrate our promise of excellence to our clients. Our clients will benefit in two ways: they will receive PMI approved PDUs and additionally a certificate from the prestigious Xavier University’s Xavier Leadership Center.”
Bruce Miller, Director of Xavier Leadership Center, adds, “Our relationship with Casmena allows XLC to broaden its reach internationally through a strategic partnership, ensuring the delivery of high quality and high impact project management programs endorsed by Xavier. We anticipate replicating this model in support of our global clients with a growing portfolio of offerings.”
