Advanced Project Management Certificate Program

June 1, 8:30 am-3:30 pm

$1650

Project managers must balance between many roles including communicator, leader, and analyst. Designed using practitioner insight, this two-day experience is designed for seasoned project managers to strengthen critical skills as their environment continues to evolve.

Description

The program begins by focusing on the human element of project management. Participants will learn how to build and lead high-performing teams across functional and matrix structures. This includes collaborating effectively with other project managers and resolving conflict. Next, learners will dive into organizational change management. Attendees will be equipped with strategies for coaching change leaders, building a network of change agents, and communicating change initiatives with clarity and impact.

Next, the program shifts to technical skills that ensure projects are set up for success from the start. Participants will explore risk management—how to assess risk tolerance, analyze and monitor potential risks, and respond to realized risks. Finally, learners will strategically think about a project’s business value and scope. Stakeholder management will be presented, sharing best practices to align and influence stakeholders on all levels.

Participants will be asked to bring a current project to workshop and apply their learnings directly to their work for immediate results.

Audience

Ideal for PMP credential holders, past attendees of XLC’s 6-day Project Management Certificate, or professionals with 5+ years of project management experience. Participants of this program are highly encouraged to understand the language of project management as defined by the Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Seventh Edition.
